GEN Education Group were planted with the establishment of its first tertiary education counselling centre in January 2006 in Kuala Lumpur, which offered world-class expertise in academic promotions, drove institution collaborations, and served as a one-stop student counselling and services centre.

GEN works closely with over 300 prestigious universities and colleges in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, USA, China, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and more. Every year, GEN Education provides counselling to several thousands of students in Malaysia, recruits and services over thousand students to universities/colleges of their choice.

In just a few short years, the phenomenal growth of GEN Education saw the single office in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur expand into a multinational network, culminating in the formation of the GEN Education Group in 2013. Education Counsellor
    Job Descriptions:
  • Support and maintain university/college admission processes for students.
  • Assist in student services tasks including accommodation booking, student visa application, travel arrangement, and so on.
  • Provide tertiary education counselling and career guidance to all level of students.
  • To communicate positively with prospective students, their parents and guardians.
  • To actively promote GEN's worldwide partner institutions through various promotional activities.
  • To provide professional advices on educational opportunities, admission requirements, financial assistance and related matters to prospects and students.
  • To assist at various educational promotional activities, e.g. Education Fairs, Seminars, Talks, Forums, Conference, and so on.
    Job Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Psychology, Counselling, Education, or related discipline.
  • Over 2 years work experience in Education Industry, preferably related to tertiary education counselling, university/college admission, and student services.
  • Good command of written & spoken English, Chinese/Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Proficient in computer skills including internet, email, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Pleasant personality and willing to learn and work under pressure of deadlines.
  • Strong ability to work in a team, but independently motivated.

Graphic Designer
    Job Descriptions:
  • Assist in conceptualising and creating promotion materials for whole Group, including brochures, flyers, banners, Newsletter, advertisements, web banners, etc.
  • Deliver quality design and branding artwork that is compliant to the company’s guidelines.
  • Liaising with co-colleagues in other offices to share best practices / design techniques.
  • Assist in-house creative works and external branding materials.
  • To execute the concept with right direction.
  • To provide graphic support to Marketing and Students Recruitment Team.
    Job Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess minimum Diploma in Art / Design / Creative or equivalent.
  • Required skill(s): Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Quark Xpress, Adobe InDesign, Dreamweaver, and other similar skills.
  • Required language: English, Chinese, and Malay.
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work under tight deadlines.

Marketing Executive
    Job Descriptions:
  • Responsible for marketing and promotional campaigns for all the educational events and product of the Group.
  • Supporting Marketing Manager in day to day marketing and sales activities.
  • To coordinate for all events, activities, and fairs held by the Company in the whole of East Malaysia.
  • Contributing to the annuals sales target.
  • Plan, develop and deliver campaigns as agreed within timescales.
    Job Requirements:
  • Holding at least Bachelor Degree in Marketing / Business / Communication / PR or related field.
  • Strong and confident communicator.
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in sales and marketing. Work experience in tertiary education industry is an added advantage.

Admin Officer
    Job Descriptions:
  • Perform office administrative tasks including sales quotation, operation coordination, basic accounts and finance paper works.
  • In charge of office administration, data input, processing information and filing documentation effectively.
  • Undertaking any other tasks/duties as may be reasonable required.
  • Create and revises systems and processors by analyzing operating practices, recordkeeping systems.
  • Forms control, office layout and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing changes.
  • Reception of calls/distribute daily mails, attend to visitors and postal/courier.
